Itinerary

Published on 2 August 2024 at 21:58

This is the original itinerary that we we had planned back in the UK.
The itinerary inevitably change and has already changed at writing of this post - Sometimes one wrong turn can change a whole journey!

Belgium and the Netherlands

Our first night will be Maastricht in the Netherlands. On the map it appears to be a strange stretching of the netherlands into Germany and Belgium. We will cross both France and Belgium but refrain from stopping. Belgium will be saved for a different week away due to it's proximity to the UK and France will be visited at the last leg of the trip.

Germany
After we leave the Netherlands, we will be heading towards Bonn and from there down the Rhine river for a little while and then West across the Mosel to explore German wine regions (slipping into Strasbourg, France). We then plan on hitting the Black Forest for a couple of nights before slipping into Switzerland.

**Strasbourg (Yes, it's France not Germany...!)

Switzerland
When we leave Germany, we will travel across the beautiful scenery and lakes of Switzerland.
This looks a little bare as our route is still in flux and have yet to decide how we'll best conquer the Swiss Alps.
